Upcoming 2009 Movies
It is 2009 and this can only mean one thing, new movies. Movies are a way people communicate and tell stories. There are many great films coming out this year all featuring great actors and actresses.
I have done my research and have compiled a list of seven movies I think will be huge box-office hits. Although they may not receive Oscar nominations, these are the films all action movie fans will be lining up to see.
Must see movies for 2009:
1. April 3: Fast and the Furious ( PG-13)
The old cast is back again which gives the film some promise. Plus, I am sure there will be plenty of eye candy for both men and women. The cast include: Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jordana Brewster.
2. May 1: X- Men Origin: Wolverine (PG-13)
Hugh Jackman is a great actor. It is no surprise his upcoming film has made it to my must see list for 2009. It tells the story about how Wolverine came and is sure to not disappoint. He will definitely be king of the box office with this film.
3. May 8: Star Trek ( PG-13)
Although I do not consider myself to be a Trekkie. I have to admit the trailer for this movie is very persuasive. Viewers will watch this trailer and either love it or hate it. What do you think?
4. May 22: Terminator Salvation ( PG-13)
Christian Bale’s movie, The Dark Knight, was blockbuster success in 2008. There is no reason to believe his film, Terminator, will not do the same. He has proven himself to others that he is not just a pretty face, but a serious actor that makes movies, and does them well.
5. June 26: Transformers ( PG-13)
Shia Lebouf and Megan Fox return for the second installment of Transformers. The first film did well beyond its expectations; the expectations for this film are greater.
6. Public Enemies (Rated R)
No recession will keep viewers from going to see this movie. This movie has it all, great actors, great action, and best of all, Johnny Depp. I will not go into detail about this film because I already mentioned it in my previous blog.
7. August 7: G.I Joe: Rise of the Cobra ( PG-13)
There is something interesting and unique about this film. I think fans of GI Joe will make this film a hit and will be a success from the moment it opens.
There are actually more movies that I am looking forward to, but for now this will be sufficient. Post a comment and let me know If you will be watching any of these movies.
Have fun at the movies!
